Our story is just getting started!
Connecting Point Church began on July 21, 2024, in the basement of a little Italian restaurant — a humble start filled with faith, prayer, and a big vision for what God could do. Since then, we’ve seen God’s hand move in miraculous ways. In June, 2025 He opened the door for a brand-new building — a home where our church family can continue to grow, serve, and make an impact.
Our heartbeat is to serve the people of Plattsmouth and Offutt Air Force Base — to be a church that loves our community and our military families well. We believe in doing life together, growing in the Lord, and reaching people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
If you’re looking for a church where you can belong, grow, and be part of something new, we would love to have you join us. Our service time is Sundays at 10:00 am.

Meet Pastors Joe & Tara Scriven
Joe & Tara are passionate about reaching the Plattsmouth, NE and Offutt AFB community for Christ. They met in seminary and have been married over 21 years. Throughout their ministry they have had a burden for our Military. They have ministered in Washington, Georgia, Oregon, and Nebraska and served as missionaries to South Korea where they planted two ministry to military churches overseas. In addition, they have worked in various Military Chapels to provide spiritual service to families.
Joe has a Bachelor's degree in Ministry Leadership (Counseling Emphasis) from Lee University and a Master of Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
Joe and Tara have a son, Kaiden, who keeps them busy with baseball games, karate, and anything outdoors. They can't wait to meet you at our next service!
